the wake #5: Revelations 1

First of all, I'm back from online recess. I'm done with exams. And now I'll complete the wake for good. The course of the story is about to change majorly. Cant wait to finish it and work on my new idea ;-).

The Wake #5: Revelations 1

The fifth chapter. If you havent been reading, I recommend you do so from 1, 2, 3 and 4

"Is he ever going to wake up?"

"Eventually.. I mean, his heart still beats right?"

Blimey and Smiles were waiting for him to wake up. It was already 5:00pm and he wasn't showing any sign.

"This could be serious. Maybe we should take him to a hospital" blimey said.

"Oh yeah, ambulance, we saw this guy on the street, knocked him out, hid him in our house for 10 hours.

The police would reward us"

"OK. I see your point. But what do we do?"

"Don't worry. He's fine. I took health science classes once"

"Smiles, what are you doing with a baton?".

"I don't know.." Smiles shrugged. "what if he's an enemy?"

"Mmhbbph". The tied up boy was awake.

"Good idea, Smiles. The duct tape".

He kept struggling. Staring at his captors. He looked really scared. His eyes were not as red as they were.

"Hey, friend. Why don't you stay calm and let us unlock your speech". Smiles said, dropping his baton.

The boy stopped struggling. Then he nodded.

Smiles slowly removed the tape from his lips.

"Yo." There was a brief silence...

"Please don't hurt me.. I saw you... You work for him? I swear I didn't..."

"Hey". Blimey interrupted "Why don't we start with a name"

"Yusuf. My name is Yusuf. Those dreams are killing me. It has to stop"

"We're victims too. So you're not an enemy then".

"I am Sublime. Call me Blimey.. This is my friend Smiles".

They untied Yusuf.

He got up, looked at Blimey an Smiles, then looked around.

"Tell us what you know".

"He's using us. Darkshadow. He can somehow cause you to sleep and put dreams in your head"

"Yeah, we figured. We've seen him" Blimey said.

"There's more... He makes us work for him. We're in some 'dream', but really, we're half awake working for him. We're not supposed to remember any of it but somehow, I can".

"That bastard.. So that's what this is all about". Said Blimey. " So what does he make them... us do?"

"Anything... Steal stuff, kidnap people, send mails, make sandwich".

"And youre aware of what you're doing?" Smiles asked.

"No. I only remember after. And it hurts.. It really hurts".

"Does he have to 'Jumbo' the person physically?" Asked Smiles.

"Yeah. Once you sleep and wake, its gone. But sometimes I get this weird feeling, like he sees through my eyes. Look, he has countless people working for him.. There's more to this than we understand".

"Using us to do his dirty work.. That's diabolical". Blimey said, with a flash of anger.

"Can you explain why we slept Saturday night and woke up Monday morning?". He asked

"Oh that.. You're awake in two capacities, dream and physically for 12hours. That's like stay ing awake 24hours". Yusuf said.

"So we slept 24hours and remembered just a horrible dream".

"This is crazy.. I mean.. Just about a week ago (week ago), everything was normal. These are things Id never have believed were real". Said Smiles.

"He's playing with our heads." Yusuf started

"I've been on the inside. I've seen everything.. I remember everything. I think I know a way he can be stopped".
